Welcome to Suncoast Hospice Foundation Planned Giving
CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY UPDATE: The american Council on Gift Annuity has just announced changes to their recommended CGA rates, effective July 1, 2011. Income rates will INCREASE for donors over the age of 73. Annuitants age 90 and over will receive the max rate of 9.8%! Example: If a 78 yr old retiree used the assets in his current CD to fund a CGA, he would recieve a guaranteed income at 6.8% for the rest of his life. Only a portion of that income would be subject to income tax, and he would receive a charitable deduction. If he left it in his CD, he would renew at approximately 1% rate of return. Something to think about! Call me at (727) 523-3422 to find out more about funding a CGA with your CD or other assets. If you would like to include Suncoast Hospice Foundation in you will or trust, you can use the following language to do so:
I Bequeath ________________ to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760, a not-for-profit corporation located in Pinellas County, Florida. (Please be sure to use our complete name and address.) If you do not want to rewrite your will or trust, you can still remember Suncoast Hospice by using a Codicil to your will or an amendment to your trust. Your attorney can make the necessary changes for you, using the language provided above. Remember, due to the tax benefits that accompany most planned gifts, planned giving is a great way to help you and your family, as well as our organization. I look forward to working with you to create a plan that can save you taxes while providing an eventual gift to Suncoast Hospice.
